About this site

My name is Terry. On Make Me Share!, I sell pixel advertising: companies buy advertising space for $1 & $2 per pixel, and the price depends on how many pixels your advertisement occupies.
Advertising space on Make Me Share! is worth $5.5 Million US. My goal is to make at least $5 Million in 5 years, starting August 1, 2008 (the day Make Me Share! went online).

If I make $5mln or more with Make Me Share! in 5 years, I will give 50% (at least $2,5mln) to charities.
And if I make less, I'll keep the money for myself...

Why advertise on Make Me Share?

How much does it cost?

A regular advertising page contains a 1,000x500 pixel grid. Grids are divided into 10x10 pixel blocks (100 pixels each), one block being the smallest advertising unit. The price of one block is $200 US on the homepage ($2 per pixel), and $100 on the other pages ($1 per pixel).
I will keep your advertisement online for 5 years. If any service disruptions occur, due to any reason (hackers’ attacks, server issues, other), I will add the missing time to the end of your advertising period.

Advertising Terms:

The minimum order is 100 pixels, or 1 block
When you 'buy' my pixels you will not 'own' any part of this site, but rather you are granted the right to submit an image and link which will then be published on the site in the respective space you have paid for .
You cannot change the image or link once you have submitted them, so you must be sure of the image & link you want on the site, which will be there for 5 years. The only exception is if you have a strong reason why you need a change to your image/link, eg. your site no longer exists, major structural change to your site, lawsuits, etc.
If your image and link are accepted and published on the site, you cannot get a refund.
Your advertisement will be online for 5 years. I may keep it longer, but I do not promise.
No offensive/obscene/pornographic images/links will be accepted, and I decide what is appropriate for my site. If you submit an image or link that is rejected, you will have the opportunity to provide an alternative, otherwise your money will be refunded and you will lose your pixels.
If your link is accepted and you later change the content of the linked site to show offensive/obscene/pornographic material then your link will be removed until you provide a new one, and you will not get a refund of any kind for the link downtime.
If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and link removed from the site, you can do that, but you will not get a refund and the space will become publicly available again.
Images must be the exact size you have paid for (eg. 100 pixels = 10x10 pixels).
Images must be in GIF, JPEG or PNG format, and a reasonable file size.
Images must NOT be animated.
Links must be to web pages only and begin with "http://" (no quotes:-) .
You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the website you submit.
Funds must be fully received and cleared before your pixels go live on the website.
There might be occasional downtime for site maintenance but I'll try and keep these to a minimum.
The URL of this website may change, or/and additional URLs may be used.
Once you have ordered and the funds have cleared (eg. in my PayPal or bank account), I will aim to get your pixels online within 24-48hrs
